At apteekki it is our aim to become a hub for wellbeing events, plant-based cookery and nutrition workshops, talks and meet-ups.
Some of those already planned are as follows: Breathwork: a physical workout of your respiratory system Fueling your Mitochondria: a workshop to stop you feeling like crap Sleep Optimisation: a workshop for good sleep hygiene Gut Health and Gut Health 2.0: two cookery workshops on getting our microbiomes flourishing through the use of pre and pro biotics Planetary Healing: a series of workshops into how our lifestyle choices affect the planet Green Beauty: a workshop on non-toxic natural beauty options Cosmic Cool: a workshop for women on the monthly cycle and how the moon affects it Essential Wellness: a workshop on essential oils and the alternative medicine cabinet Kindfulness: a workshop on being kind to yourself Turmeric: a cookery workshop on using this medicinal root. We will keep you posted of dates as our calendar of events starts to fill up once we are open.

The first in a series of ‘wild and natural’ workshops, in this first one we focus on prebiotic and probiotic rich foods, how different cultures traditionally use them, and how to incorporate them into our daily diets.
The workshop will include sampling of different prebiotic and probiotic foods, and a look at their individual health benefits, before you get hands on and learn how to prepare three different recipes, incorporating basic fermentation techniques.
All ingredients will be provided, but please bring 3 large jam jars or kilner jars in order to be able to take what you create home, and an apron.
The workshop will run at 1pm, and again at 6.30pm.
